Internationally Award-Winning Design
A Personal Approach A Complete Result

Alex Kovachev is the founder and creative force behind IDEA International — one of Bulgaria’s most recognized and internationally awarded interior design studios. For nearly two decades, together with the IDEA team, he has been creating high-end residential, hospitality, commercial, yacht and aviation interiors distinguished by timeless aesthetics, attention to detail and a natural balance between style and functionality. His projects combine architectural precision with contemporary technologies, custom furniture, handcrafted elements, lighting design and carefully curated art to create spaces with a distinctive identity and emotional impact. In 2019, Alex Kovachev was nominated for “Designer of the Decade” by the International Architecture and Design Awards — a recognition of his long-standing contribution to the global design scene.

Behind every IDEA International project is a team driven by curiosity, collaboration and a commitment to exceptional design. Our culture is built on openness, flexibility, craftsmanship and a constant pursuit of better, smarter and more efficient solutions. We embrace the challenges of large-scale international projects just as much as creating an intimate private home. What unites our team is a dedication to detail, creativity and the desire to create spaces that exceed expectations and remain meaningful over time.

We believe that the environments we create should reflect the same principles that guide us as a studio — balance, inspiration, functionality and atmosphere. This philosophy is present not only in our projects, but also in the way we shape our own working environment and creative process. Our studio encourages collaboration, creativity and continuous development, creating an environment where ideas evolve naturally and projects are brought to life with clarity and precision. This way of working defines our relationships with clients and our approach to every project around the world.
